Our Uniform


  • Grey skirt/pinafore dress/shorts (not cycling shorts)/trousers
  • Purple Gingham dress/skirt/playsuit in Summer 
  • White shirt or polo shirt*; dark purple polo shirt, either plain or with the Hilgay/Ten Mile bank logo 
  • Purple sweatshirt* or cardigan*, without a hood, either plain or with the Hilgay/Ten Mile Bank logo 
  • Plain white, grey or black short or knee length socks (not over the knee) 
  • Black, grey or dark purple tights 
  • Full length black leggings may be worn with short black socks instead of tights
  • Plain black shoes, trainers or boots


PE Uniform


Children need to arrive in school wearing their PE kit on PE days. Teachers will let parents know via Dojo or text message which days each class will have PE. 

Girls and boys wear: 

 

  • Plain black shorts/skorts/leggings
  • Plain white T-shirt*
  • Trainers
  • Plain black/dark grey jogging suit for outdoor lessons in cold weather
  • Swimming costume (no bikinis; shorts must be above the knee) – summer term
  • Swimming hat – summer term

Branded Uniform


We have a distinctive uniform which makes your child really feel part of The Riverside Academy.


Our school uniform is supplied by Stratfords Ltd, based in King's Lynn (telephone 01553 772043). School sweaters, sweatshirts and cardigans can be ordered online or by telephone/email. Please click on the link below to visit Stratfords website. Stratfords will deliver uniform orders directly to the school if required.


The sweatshirt/cardigan are purple and have the school logo embroidered on to them. School polo shirts and tee shirts are also available. Items marked with * are available to buy with the logo on.



Stratfords

General Requirements

  • Uniform should be clean, neat, in good repair and appropriate for the weather.
  • All clothing, shoes and personal belongings brought into school should be clearly named.
  • Hairstyles to be neat and tidy; long hair must be tied back for PE and swimming.
  • Hats and scarves are not to be worn indoors.


  • No make-up, nail varnish or other fashion accessories to be worn;
  • For health and safety reasons, no jewellery should be worn during PE.
  • As children go outside for PE throughout the year, it is recommended that their trainers are put in a plastic bag inside their PE bag.




Jewellery

  • For children with pierced ears, only appropriate small stud earrings may be worn.


  • Watches may be worn, providing they are not bulky.


  • No other jewellery should be worn except for medical or religious reasons.
